Dubai Cosmetic Surgery, UAE’s premier cosmetic clinic, is now offering virtual reality consultations where patients get to see how they will look after the procedure.

Any decision to modify one’s physical appearance cannot be taken lightly and it is therefore logical for any patient to have doubts on what and how they would want to change. Until now patients could only see pictures of other people, photoshoped 2D pictures of themselves and sometimes sizes for implants, though patients were never able to compare their own before and after before it actually happened, said a statement.

According to Dr Rory McGoldrick – Board Certified Specialist Plastic Surgeon at Dubai Cosmetic Surgery - with Crisalix doubts are left in the past.

“By interacting with their own 3D image and selecting different simulations, patients can better express their wishes while doctors can understand what exactly the patient needs and explain the possible outсome,” he says adding that by combining advanced medical research and state-of-the-art information technology, it is now possible to optimise the level of care and treatment patients deserve.

How does Crisalix work?
By connecting to the Crisalix app and using a 3D portable sensor Dr McGoldrick says the plastic surgeon creates a 3D model of any patient’s face and body. “I will then simulate the desired change live through a connected VR application allowing the patient to discover his/her new body or face in a fully immersive environment!”

To support the patient in his/her decision-making and selection process, doctors can provide them with a remote access allowing them to review their 3D imaging with their friends and family.

“This breakthrough technology, now offered by Dubai Cosmetic Surgery clinic, has scientifically proven increasing substantial patient education, understanding and interaction, to further optimize post-procedure satisfaction,” notes Dr McGoldrick.

What are Patients saying About Crisalix?
