UK medical devices firm looks to expand in ME

DUBAI, January 15, 2017

GBUK, a multi-award-winning medical device manufacturing and distribution company, is attending Arab Health 2017 in Dubai to develop its export business across the Middle East.

Arab Health 2017 is taking place from January 30 to February 2 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre.

GBUK offers a wide range of medical devices including specialist enteral feeding devices, consumables for surgical and post-operative care, and a comprehensive selection of products to assist in patient handling and positioning.

Building on its strong and successful growth in the UK, the company has ambitious plans to develop its export business throughout the region. The company is attending Arab Health for the second time to showcase its extensive portfolio and meet potential new export partners.

GBUK products provide clinical performance and value. Added to this is its programme of research and development which has brought a number of innovative products and product design improvements to market, the company said.

Working globally in co-operation with industry partners and with international standards and regulatory authorities, the company has played a key role in the introduction of the ‘Stay Connected’ ENFit and NRFit connectors for enteral feeding and neuraxial access systems.

The ‘Stay Connected’ programme is about reducing the risk of inadvertent misconnections between different delivery systems, and is a major step forward in improving patient safety, it said.

The company will also be showcasing the new Banana Versal in-bed patient repositioning and transfer product range. Versal is an exciting new concept that overcomes the difficulties and disadvantages of the conventional slide sheets and slide mats that are used to move and reposition patients.

GBUK CEO Mark Thompson said: “We are committed to improving patient care and work closely with clinicians to advance their portfolio of leading-edge products and improve lives.

“Each day in the UK, more than 213,000 of our products are used in caring for patients both in hospitals and in their own homes. We are now keen to expand throughout the Middle East and will be attending Arab Health to meet potential new distribution partners from the region.”

Throughout the Arab Health, GBUK will be located at the UK Pavilion stand Za’abeel Z1. F58. To arrange an appointment with the company, contact: Brian.Zealey@gbukgroup.com - TradeArabia News Service
