Ajman hospital to offer dentistry training program

Gulf Medical University in Ajman, UAE, said its college of dentistry has been granted permission by the Ministry of Health to offer one-year internship training program to graduates of dentistry from other institutions.

The ministry has accredited the dental centres in Thumbay Hospitals in Ajman, Dubai and Sharjah as internship training sites that match international standards and meet the requirements of the Ministry of Health, UAE, said Prof. Gita Ashok Raj, Provost of the University.

The internship will be offered in the dental centres of Thumbay Hospitals at Dubai, Ajman and Sharjah. The GMU has called upon graduates to fill the ‘Dental Internship Application Form’ on its official website and submit it by October 1.

The training will be provided under the supervision of dental consultants and specialists, said Prof Mohamed Said Hamed, the dean and head of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, College of Dentistry at GMU.

"Dental interns will be rotated in all the specialties during the training program. Backed by a high quality clinical training during the program with a diverse experience of treating a patient clientele rich in volume and a wide spectrum of dental disorders, the trainee interns are assured of developing into competent professionals," he stated.-TradeArabia News Service
