US-based Zebra Technologies Corporation, a global leader in solutions and services, is supplying its healthcare solutions to Danat Al Emarat, the new specialist women and children’s hospital in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Zebra Technologies’ range of solutions designed specifically for the healthcare sector across the hospital’s operations include mobile data capture solutions using 2D scanners, desktop printers, mobile printers, and UltraSoft wristbands for newborns, a statement said.

Zebra worked closely with the IT and nursing staff at Danat Al Emarat to select the most appropriate range of solutions to meet the hospital’s needs, including the UltraSoft wristbands designed specifically for newborn babies. Zebra’s solutions are being used across most of the hospital’s applications, including laboratory, pharmacy, clinics, and mobile phlebotomy.

The DS4308-HC 1D and 2D scanner is designed to read all types of barcodes which is crucial at the patient bedside for safety and care. The range of Zebra desktop and mobile healthcare printing solutions can print critical information such as dosage information and prescription labels, bedside sample collection, patient ID wristbands and staff ID cards.
