Bahrain clamps down on illegal, imitation medicines

MANAMA, July 3, 2015

Bahrain is clamping down on illegal and imitation medicines that have been flooding into the country.

Customs officials have seized 62 duplicate, banned or unlicensed medicines this week, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

More than 2,000 pills and 1,200gm of powders have also been seized.

Websites selling banned products have been identified and Interpol was asked to block them. - TradeArabia News Service
