Yas Marina Circuit signs safety deal with National Ambulance

ABU DHABI, April 22, 2015

Yas Marina Circuit has signed a long-term memorandum of understanding with National Ambulance, a leading pre-hospital emergency care provider in the UAE, to ensure the safety of its visitors.

The announcement follows a recent meeting between Al Tareq Al Ameri, chief executive officer of Yas Marina Circuit and the deputy CEO of National Ambulance, Ahmed Al Hajeri, where the shared commitment to continual improvement of health and safety standards at the circuit were discussed.

Besides the medical and safety emergency plans for the 2015 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in November, the meeting agenda also included ways to fully support the circuit’s year-round programme of entertainment, grassroots motorsport and regular community health and fitness initiatives that attracts more than 500,000 visits per year.

“At Yas Marina Circuit, the safety and wellbeing of the hundreds of thousands of visitors that are drawn here all year round is paramount,” said Al Ameri.

“That is why we have engaged with a partner we trust and has proven itself many times since our collaboration began in October of last year. We strive to constantly improve our guest experience and this partnership will ensure that the very best on-site medical support is in place long into the future,” he added. - TradeArabia News Service
