Strong winds warning issued in Bahrain
MANAMA, April 6, 2015
Bahrain’s meteorology office has issued a warning for strong winds today (April 6).
It follows last Wednesday’s dust storm that dumped large amounts of sand on Gulf countries, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
“The meteorological directorate calls on citizens to be cautious for the strong northerly winds,” the Meteorological Directorate said on Twitter yesterday.
Meanwhile, in a statement it said last month was hotter than normal with an average temperature of 22.2C.
It was 1.2C above the long-term normal for March.
The average maximum temperature for the month was 19.5C, which is the third highest average temperature for March since 1946.
The highest temperature recorded was 31.5C on March 30, due to warm southerly winds. - TradeArabia News Service
