Orange Business Services ...... Technology has a vital role to play in delivering healthcare.

Orange unit to present healthcare ICT solutions

DUBAI, January 26, 2015

Orange Business Services, the global business-to-business arm of the company, will present its integrated information and communications technology (ICT) solutions for the healthcare sector at Arab Health 2015, opening today in Dubai, UAE.

The company will participate in collaboration with UBIFrance (the French agency for international business development) in the French Pavilion and will present ‘connected hospital’ solutions, chronic disease remote monitoring solutions and medical hosting services, said a statement.

Orange is using its communications and integration expertise to deliver innovations that support the delivery of ‘joined-up healthcare’ in the region.

Orange has extensive expertise in integration, M2M (machine-to-machine) technologies, network management and the secure transmission, hosting and access of patient data. Innovations include ‘Connected Hospital’, which delivers a comprehensive and scalable suite of communications services for healthcare establishments, and telemedicine solutions for the remote monitoring of patients with chronic illnesses.

Orange telemedicine solutions enable patients, healthcare providers and partners to have controlled access to patient data, while respecting personal medical data protection regulations.

Mickael Ghossein, senior vice president, Mena and Turkey, said: “In the Middle East, the rapid rise of lifestyle-related chronic diseases such as diabetes, and a growing population, means that healthcare services are increasingly under strain, and there is a need to innovate to meet these challenges.”

“Technology has a vital role to play in delivering healthcare; through the Internet of Things, healthcare providers and governments can provide better quality care more cost effectively to more patients, both at home and in hospitals,” he said.

“We see ICT and healthcare investments converging to create connected-health opportunities in the Middle East that are set to transform healthcare and improve the lives of citizens and residents here. This digital transformation of the healthcare sector is a major transition, and the role of Orange is to be the ‘digital coach’ for our clients and help them manage this complex process,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
