Bahraini women’s life expectancy longer than men

The average life expectancy of Bahraini women increased to 77.3 years from 69.5, while male life span rose to 73.1 from 65.6 – from 1975 to 2013, according to health records.

Figures also revealed that mortality rates in infants under five dropped to 1.6 deaths among girls from 2.4, and to 1.9 from 2.4 among boys per 1,000 live births due to improved medical services and health awareness in the kingdom, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.

Mothers’ mortality rates fell to 11 deaths from 18.8 per 100,000 live births – from 2007 to 2010. – TradeArabia News Service
