The Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha) has launches a new initiative to promote local farmers and healthy eating habits.
It is a reflection of Seha’s support for the Abu Dhabi Farmers' Services Centre (ADFSC) and an effort to encourage healthy eating habits among its workforce.
As part of this initaitive, Seha distributed baskets of fresh local vegetables to 300 employees at its headquarters in the UAE capital.
The move plays an important role in sustaining national agriculture and encouraging local farmers across the emirate, said a senior official.
In support of behaviour change towards engaging a healthy diet, the event was attended by various Seha officials and the company’s executive director, Rashid Al Qubaisi, and Carl Stanifer, Group CEO.
Seha’s marketing and communications director, Salama Al Mazrouei said, “We will do our best to promote and market fresh local produce on behalf of the farmers”, adding that it is important that we are all reminded of the benefits of eating fruits and vegetables five times every day.
