Dubai, March 22, 2012
Lumenis, a leading global medical laser company, will demonstrate its most advanced aesthetic laser machines at an upcoming dermatology conference in Dubai.
The technologies to go on display include laser hair removal, fractional CO2 laser resurfacing and rejuvenation as well as the latest IPL technologies.
The Dubai World Dermatology & Laser Conference & Exhibition is taking place from March 27 to 29 at Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre.
“The Middle East, and especially the UAE, is an important market for our advanced Aesthetic Laser systems. The Aesthetic Laser market worldwide is valued over $1 billion and laser hair removal is one of the most popular treatments demanded by women and most recently by men,” said Nidal Naji, regional sales director Mena, Lumenis.
“Lumenis launched the Lighsheer Duet Diode Laser over two years ago, and since then the product has been in great demand as it offers a less painful much faster procedure and it has been cleared by the US FDA as safe for all skin types.”
“Over the last three years, we have seen a constant growth in our business across the region and our machines are found in more than 180 clinics and MedSpas. We are seeing an increase in demand for our Lightsheer Duet Diode Laser machines as they are less painful, reduce hair growth, and are almost three times faster than other machines available on the market today.”
The company recorded a 16 per cent growth in the Middle East for its laser machines over the last three years.
Naji added: “Beyond hair removal, laser machines are used to treat age related issues such as deep and superficial wrinkles, age and sun spots as well as other medical skin conditions so it has varied benefits for clinics purchasing such machines.”
“In addition, further advancements within the Ultrapulse CO2 technology have allowed Lumenis GmbH to lead the efforts in helping burn patients. With the Ultrapulse CO2 and proper treatment protocols burn scars can be reduced, but more importantly elasticity of the burned skin is enhanced allowing patients more joint and articulated movement.”
The company will show case Ultrapulse Encore CO2, Acupulse Multimode CO2, Lumenis One and M22 platform systems, and Lighsheer Duet and Lightsheer ET Diode laser systems at Dubai Derma.
The conference is expected to bring together more than 3,000 regional and international dermatologists, laser specialists, aesthetic surgeons and dermatological practitioners and more than 2,000 trade visitors.
Lumenis is also hosting two workshops at the conference on advanced applications in skin rejuvenation and the efficacy, speed and pain tolerance of the Lightsheer Duet for hair removal. – TradeArabia News Service
