A new kidney transplant centre will be set up at a cost of BD1 million ($2.65 million) at Salmaniya Medical Complex by expanding the Almoayyed dialysis unit.

A Health Ministry statement said the work on the project is scheduled to be completed this year itself.

Initially, 10 transplants are expected to be carried out annually, the statement added.-TradeArabia News Service
