KFH-Bahrain backs breast cancer facility

Manama, June 5, 2011

Kuwait Finance House – Bahrain (KFH-Bahrain) is supporting the installation of a state-of-the-art MRI scanning facility at the Salmaniya Medical Complex, for diagnosis of breast cancer.

The support of the Islamic investment banking services provider will contribute towards the civil works in both the Radiology MRI room and Oncology Simulator room of the facility, which is an initiative of Think Pink Bahrain.

Currently, advanced MRI scanning treatment is limited in Bahrain and upon purchasing this equipment, Salmaniya Medical Complex will be able to provide advanced breast cancer screening and diagnosis free of charge for all women in the Kingdom.

'KFH-Bahrain, through initiatives such as the ones organised by the Ahl Alata’a network, is committed to support the establishment of an advanced breast cancer screening and diagnosis facility and we are pleased to have partnered with Think Pink Bahrain to support this worthy cause,' said Sattam Algosaibi, executive manager and head of Human Resources at KFH-Bahrain.-TradeArabia News Service
