Enoc clears cigarette packs from shelves
Dubai, May 30, 2010
Enoc has removed cigarette packs from its shelves as part of its support for 'World No Tobacco Day', which is being observed tomorrow.
For the first time, cigarettes will not be sold to members of the public for 24 hours on May 31, at all Enoc and Eppco service stations in Dubai.
This year’s theme is 'Tobacco-free Women', and targets female smokers, passive female smokers and pregnant women who smoke.
The campaign was initiated by Dubai Municipality in cooperation with Enoc and Eppco. Service station staff will wear campaign T-shirts, put up posters and distribute leaflets to enhance awareness about the dangers of smoking.-TradeArabia News Service
