Boots launches first Saudi store

Health and beauty expert Boots International has announced the official launch of its first branded store in Saudi Arabia. The outlet opened this week at Mall of Arabia in Jeddah.
The store marks an important milestone in the development of the Boots retail brand in the Middle East and will be the 43rd Boots branded outlet in the region, said a company statement.
The 200 sq m store was officially inaugurated by Gordon Farquhar, managing director of Boots International and Thomas Pinnau, managing director of International, Alliance Healthcare.
The Mall of Arabia Jeddah store offers customers a wide selection of internationally trusted healthcare, skincare products and toiletries all under one roof.
The new outlet boasts a special beauty counter for personalised cosmetic and skincare advice from dedicated No7 beauty consultants.
Andrew Powell, regional manager, Boots International, said: “Our new store in Jeddah offers customers a new experience in healthcare shopping and builds on the success of our existing operations across the Middle East. We now look forward to expanding our footprint across Saudi Arabia in the future.”
Shoppers can choose from over 6,000 health and beauty products, including 3,000 own brand products ranging from cosmetics and skincare to toiletries.
With a focus on affordability and accessibility, Boots own brand value for money product ranges start from as little as ten riyals, he added.
Farquhar said: “Moving into Saudi Arabia is part of our continued strategy to making Boots a truly international brand. This new store will enable us to provide customers with an opportunity to enjoy the perfect one-stop shopping experience and benefit from our health and beauty expertise.”
The store also features areas dedicated to healthy living, with pharmacists offering expert advice on all healthcare-related topics, and a private consultation room for patients.-TradeArabia News Service
