Dilmunia Eduprop Company, a joint venture between Ithmaar Development Company (IDC) and Naseej, has announced that work at its key educational institution - Nadeen School at Dilmunia - has entered into its final stages.

A $1.6-billion mixed-use development built on a man-made island off the coast of Muharraq, Dilmunia boasts a mix of residences, a hotel, and leisure and shopping districts, that will offer residents and visitors a way of life centered on holistic wellness.

Designed by Bahrain-based Mohamed Salahuddin Architects and Engineers Bureau (MSCEB), the new Nadeen School Bahrain at Dilmunia will accommodate 1,050 students of both genders up to 12th grade.

It will include 44 classrooms and additional shared spaces to deliver a high-quality and healthy learning environment for students and teachers.

With a built-up area of 22,500 sq m, the building features wide corridors and generous external open spaces in line with the best practices applied at the most prestigious international private schools.

Nadeen School Dilmunia includes a wide range of facilities such as teaching kitchens, a yoga studio, a staff gym, laboratories, libraries, a health centre, an art hall, music studios, a swimming learning center with two swimming pools, and a large gymnasium and multi-use hall.

Its external facilities include a large open space to serve as an external teaching and learning area, gardens, educational terraces to provide an integrated educational experience, and play areas.

IDC CEO and Dilmunia Eduprop Board Member Mohammed Khalil Alsayed said: "We are pleased to witness today, after 10 months of construction work, that the project is nearing completion and has entered its final phases. Nadeen School will be a valuable addition to the island, providing residents and the wider community an additional community service."

"The Nadeen School team’s holistic approach is well aligned with our ethos as a development that promotes well-being and a healthy lifestyle. We look forward to completing construction work within the coming months," noted Alsayed.

"We are also pleased to share that, after being named Best Public Service Development in Bahrain and awarded  the 5-star award at the Arabian Property Awards for 2022-2023, that the Nadeen School project was further honored with the best Public Service Development Project award at a global level at the International Property Awards 2022-2023 in London in February 2023," he stated.

"The awards celebrate the highest levels of achievement by companies operating across all sectors of the property and real estate industry and are a world-renowned mark of excellence," he added.

Nadeen Holding Managing Director Shanee Puri said: "We are delighted to witness the progress achieved in such a short period, and thank IDC and Naseej for their high level of collaboration and consistent coordination. The Nadeen School community is eager to witness the new facility coming to life and looks forward to the amazing opportunities that will soon be available to students and employees."

According to her, Nadeen School is an international institution catering to over 50 nationalities. "The school was established in Bahrain in 1978, accommodating 29 students of both genders and four teachers at its first headquarters in Gufool in the Capital Governorate. We are very excited to be moving to our new premises in Dilmunia on our 45th anniversary."

"It has always been our dream to be a true community school, in line with our unique child- and family-centered ethos," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
