Emicool partners with University of Balamand Dubai

DUBAI, December 8, 2018

Emirates District Cooling (Emicool) said it has signed a deal with the University of Balamand Dubai to provide student scholarships in the fields of civil engineering and business studies as of academic year 2019-2020. 
 
The University of Balamand Dubai (UOBD), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dubai Investments, has signed a MoU with Emirates District Cooling (Emicool) for provision of student scholarships in the fields of civil engineering and business studies as of academic year 2019-2020. 
 
The first university in Dubai Investments Park, UOBD said as per the deal, it will partner with Emicool to develop, collaborate and engage in mutually beneficial educational opportunities for students.
 
Under the terms of the agreement, scholarships will be provided for two business students and one civil engineering student, giving a 50 per cent tuition waiver as of the 2019-2020 academic year.
 
Emicool CEO Dr Adib Moubadder said: "We are proud to partner with the University of Balamand Dubai in this initiative and we look forward to welcoming applications for our scholarships. This partnership gives us an opportunity to educate students about the science behind viable energy solutions."

Emicool caters to district cooling requirements across strategic locations, including Dubai Investments Park, Dubai Motor City, Dubai Sports City, Uptown Mirdif, Akoya by Damac, Mirdif Hills and Palazzo Versace & D1 Tower. 
 
UOBD boasts a 8,000 sq m campus equipped with modern classrooms, laboratories and resource centres to enhance the learning process for around 1,200 students.-TradeArabia News Service
