GEMS Wesgreen School gets new campus

GEMS Wesgreen International School in Sharjah, UAE, has opened its new state-of-the-art campus providing students with a first-class British Curriculum education and the best teaching and learning environment.
The new campus located in Al Mulewiah will be operational in the 2018 academic year and accommodate over 4,000 students.
Spanning over 25 acres, the new campus building with 72,462 sq m of built-up area will include a new Support Center for staff for Special Needs and EAL (English as an Additional Language).
The campus also includes a 2,200-sq-m senior football field for secondary boys and girls and a 3,320-sq-m junior football field. The new campus will not only have indoor and outdoor basketball courts but will also have a separate cricket practice area for the senior boys.

The construction of the new campus comes in response to the school’s commitment to advance excellence in education of more than two decades.
“Starting September 2018, our new state-of-the-art, purpose-built building, combined with the existing Primary Campus will accommodate students from KG1 to Grade 4. This will enable students to thrive in a far more interconnected environment, and future school inspections will be able to evaluate the school as a unified whole;” Calafato further added.
The campus also includes two auditoriums with a seating capacity of 125 plus each, 1.1-m- deep swimming pool, two elementary gyms with full-sized basketball courts and two state-of-the-art open fitness areas. Students will also get access to the two elementary gyms with full-size basketball courts and multipurpose outdoor courts. All the classrooms are equipped with LED interactive screens.
Wesgreen International School was founded in 1991 in Sharjah under the leadership of Sheikh Ahmed Mohammed Sultan Al Qassimi, chairman of Al Batha Group, and it has grown to become an institution of academic excellence in the emirate.
Last year, GEMS Education the leading education provider, added Wesgreen International School to its network of schools.
