‘61pc of UAE’s online workforce on Bayt.com’

DUBAI, July 17, 2017

Sixty-one per cent of the online labour force in the UAE have an account on Bayt.com, a leading job site in the Middle East, according to the latest jobseeker tally from the company.

 At the regional level, 43 per cent of the online labour force have an account on Bayt.com, which has 28,500,000 CVs and more than 40,000 employers in its database.

In the GCC alone, 41 per cent of the online labour force are on Bayt.com. The highest prevalence of online labour force with a Bayt.com account in the GCC is in the UAE (61 per cent), followed by Qatar (42 per cent), Oman (36 per cent), Saudi Arabia (35 per cent), Bahrain (28 per cent) and Kuwait (27 per cent).

Other regional markets also have a very large proportion of online labour force with Bayt.com accounts. These markets include Jordan, in which three quarters (75 per cent) of the online labour force are registered on Bayt.com. Forty-four per cent of Egypt’s online labour force are registered on Bayt.com and 31 per cent of Lebanon’s online labour force are on Bayt.com.

The job site’s trilingual platform (English, Arabic, French) as well as its complete range of end-to-end employment solutions and career planning tools certainly contribute to its popularity, said Suhail Masri, vice president of Employer Solutions, Bayt.com.

“Job seekers on Bayt.com come with many different career levels, specialties, and target jobs,” said Masri.

“Among those who have specified their career level on their Bayt.com CV, one out of three job seekers has more than 10 years of experience. The Bayt.com job seeker database includes hundreds of thousands of niche job roles that are as diverse as Oracle and Python Developers, Financial Analysts, Designers, Instrumentation Engineers, Product Managers, and Legal and Compliance Advisors.”
