Alghanim focuses on 'influential leadership' at Injaz event
KUWAIT, March 23, 2016
The true definition of a leader and the role a leader plays in shaping the mindset of other team members were the focus of a main session at a recently concluded event in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The session, titled 'How Do You Get the Most from Your Teams: Influential Leadership' and led by Evan Glassett, senior HR manager - Leadership Development, Alghanim Industries, at the eighth Annual Mena Training (AMT) session, targeted chief executive officers and deputy CEOs of Injaz member nations.
It was hosted by Injan Al Arab, the regional office of Junior Achievement Worldwide (JAW).
The training session was attended by Injaz' staff members from its 14 member nations in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region.
It is a regional workshop that is designed to facilitate staff interaction across national divides and encourage the sharing of best practices.
Each year Injaz members showcase best practices and highlight new, context appropriate approaches across multiple areas and functions.
These include fundraising, PR and branding, internal and external communication, curriculum development, program implementation, operations and also management, as well as soft skills such as leadership and teamwork.
Throughout these training sessions, INJAZ staff members and private sector partners reinforced the spirit of volunteerism by acting and serving as trainers for the attendees.
Injaz-Kuwait’s partner, Alghanim Industries, was a main contributor to this year’s session as it offered support, where members of senior management from the company contributed their time to train Injaz member nations' CEOs and deputy CEOs.
Rana Al Nibari, Injaz-Kuwait CEO, said: “It was a privilege to be part of such a valuable and mind opening training session that brings together top professionals from different industries.
