Bahraini MP warns against raising retirement age

MANAMA, September 21, 2015

A plan to raise the age of retirement in Bahrain by five years to 65 has sparked controversy. Independent MP Jalal Kadhim Al Mahfoudh strongly rejected the proposal, warning that the move would have a detrimental impact on the young and increase unemployment, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
