BIBF gets major ACCA platinum status boost
MANAMA, July 15, 2015
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has awarded Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) the status of a ‘Platinum Approved Learning Provider.’
This award further strengthens the National Authority for Qualifications and Quality Assurance of Education and Training (QQA) ranking of BIBF as an ‘Outstanding’ training institute, and recognises the quality of training and support it offers to its students, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
BIBF’s ACCA programme is designed to provide students with the right guidance and exam perspective, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to attain exam success.
Trainers are qualified subject matter experts with industry experience and provide classroom training of up to 70 hours per subject, covering a full review of the syllabus from an exam perspective.
Students are provided with official BPP study materials, ACCA’s Approved Learning Partner for content.
Classes are held in the evenings and offer flexibility to employed students.
BIBF also introduced scholarship schemes to award high achievers, and offers tutor and administrator support to students, outside of classroom hours.
“BIBF has a proven track record for continuing to outperform global pass rates for a majority of our programmes,” said BIBF director Solveig Nicklos.
“This is a testament to the teaching quality offered at BIBF and its commitment to educational excellence.
“We have developed our own delivery systems and in-house training resources with the aim of providing students with the right guidance, knowledge and skills necessary for exam success,” she added.
BIBF’s head of centre for accounting and finance Deen Jayah noted the importance of the accolade for the institution and its students.
“Achieving the Platinum status from the ACCA further demonstrates the positive changes that we are bringing to our course delivery and our support systems, to ensure high quality education while meeting student expectations effectively,” he added.
The preparation classes for the December exams are scheduled to commence on August 9 with the registration deadline set for July 30. - TradeArabia News Service
