Bahraini workers to be honoured at hospitality event
MANAMA, May 17, 2015
The 19th annual edition of the Specific Council for Training in Hospitality (SCHT) will honour Bahrain’s hospitality sector establishments and Bahraini workers, a report said.
This ceremony will be held under the patronage of Labour Minister and High Council for Vocational Training chairman Jameel Humaidan, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Manama on May 2, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.
The ceremony is to honour diligent, long-serving and handicapped workers.
Hospitality establishments that have achieved high degree of Bahrainisation and human resources departments that have distinguished themselves in promoting and developing Bahrainis will also be awarded.
The winners will be chosen for their contribution to Bahrain's hospitality sector, creating opportunities for Bahrainis, and enabling them to assume leading roles in the sector.
'As the key body responsible for encouraging Bahrainis to join the hospitality sector, we feel the awards are essential to recognising the importance of best-in-class training in ensuring Bahrainis are equipped to meet the unique requirements of the sector,' said SCHT chairman Ebrahim Mustafa Al Kooheji.
'What we are also hoping to achieve is to enhance service and product quality in the country's hospitality sector by recognising excellence,' Al Kooheji added. – TradeArabia News Service
