Dubai Police’s TSA adopts new ICDL structure
DUBAI, April 29, 2015
Dubai Police’s Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in co-operation with ICDL Arabia, the governing body and certification authority for the ICDL certificate programme in Egypt, GCC States and Iraq, and the National Institute of Vocational Training (NIVE), an initiative of the Dubai Government’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), has adopted the new structure and modules of ICDL certificate.
The co-operation agreement was signed by Colonel Engineer Mohammed Ahmed Al Bastaki, Director of Dubai Police’s TSA and Jamil Ezzo, Director General, ICDL Arabia.
The deal includes accrediting internal training and test centre supervised by NIVE and offers accredited ICDL training and testing services.
The training sessions will be held within an encouraging environment and interactive atmosphere in order to provide employees a useful and enjoyable learning experience.
The employees will be granted certificates after their successful completion of the international tests.
“We are pleased to cooperate with ICDL Arabia in the training programme of our employees which will enable them to gain the latest IT and communication skills as well as the best practices that will enhance their professional competencies in line with the requirements of the digital age,” said Colonel Al Bastaki.
“The training programme is a part of our commitment to support the efforts of promoting digital literacy among our employees in order to enable them to efficiently use the modern technology, thus raising the efficiency of work,” he said.
“We are also keen on developing and enhancing the skills of all our employees and provide them with the latest technology programmes that enable them to perform their duties with ease. There is no denying that IT plays a key role in facilitating the communication with citizens and providing all the services to them. In order to motivate the trainees, we will honour the top three achievers,” he added. - TradeArabia News Service
