Tamkeen to hold ‘Consultation Forum’
Manama, March 27, 2014
Bahrain’s labour fund Tamkeen is set to hold its first ‘Consultation Forum’ next week, as part of its efforts to enhance its services and to directly engage with the public.
The forum will take place on March 31 and April 1 and will be attended by Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa Al Khalifa, Tamkeen's chairman and acting chief executive.
This forum comes in line with Tamkeen’s plan to start holding consultation sessions with its stakeholders on regular basis. The results of these sessions will be incorporated in its operational plans and 2015-2017 strategy.
"Tamkeen has been formulating practical steps towards accomplishing the objectives of Bahrain’s vision, and putting in place the building-blocks for the future,” said Shaikh Mohammed.
“We are currently re-structuring our services; a process we expect will result in more efficient and flexible programmes to better serve Bahrainis and the businesses in Bahrain, in addition to formulating our new strategy for the next three years," he said.
The forum’s agenda will include a presentation by Tamkeen on the steps it is currently taking to enhance its services and programmes based on the three main pillars of its 2014 operational plan, which is enhancing quality, a more focused customer-oriented and results-oriented approach.
Two other discussion sessions on each day will look at ways to further develop Tamkeen programmes and their impact.
The forum will review the progress that Tamkeen made along those three lines and compile the feedback and recommendations from the participants.
Various stakeholders including beneficiaries and partners will attend the forum in order to provide their valuable input on Tamkeen's programmes and projects. - TradeArabia News Service
