Dubai, October 16, 2011
The Sharjah International Education Show, a premier higher education event in the UAE, ended on a successful note receiving an overwhelming response from both students and exhibitors, said the organisers.
Around 70 leading local, regional and international educational institutions took part in the exhibition, which is a joint initiative of the UAE Ministry of Education and Expo Centre Sharjah.
The event, which was supported by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), ran from October 12 to 14 at the Expo Centre Sharjah.
Fawzia Hassan bin Gharib, director of Sharjah Educational Zone, toured the expo and visited several key exhibitors including the University of Dubai (UD).
Sanaa Laham, head of Student Recruitment, welcomed Fawzia to the UD stand at the opening of the expo and explained to her the different programmes offered by the university.
Fawzia was all praise for the institution’s international accreditations, curricula and academic programmes.
'As one of the leading institutions in the country, UD welcomes, encourages and supports individuals who desire to be business leaders regardless of their origin,' said the UD president Dr M Omar Hefni.
'We are pleased at the turnout of visitors to our stand at this year’s International Education Show,' he remarked.
'I hope those who are seeking to pursue higher studies are presented with the best option they need and would choose UD as the right institution to provide IT and Business courses as we are committed to develop leaders who will make a difference in the business world,' he added.-TradeArabia News Service
