Adib to launch 2 banking courses with ADMC

Abu Dhabi, March 24, 2010

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (Adib), a leading Islamic bank, has signed an MoU with Abu Dhabi Men's College (ADMC), to launch two academic certificates for diploma and bachelor's degrees in banking services.

The agreement will support the bank with qualified ADMC students.

Students of ADMC will be able to specialise in banking services and obtain a diploma or bachelor's degree. They will also be able to take advantage of various initiatives offered at ADMC such as specialised lectures and training programmes in the financial services and banking industry.

They will also benefit from scholarships and continued support of their education, field trips to Adib projects and training sites, and will be able to build skills required in the workplace.

"ADMC is keen to develop the efficiency of Emirati workforce and to establish professional partnerships with leading business institutions such as Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank,” said Dr Simon Jones, director of ADMC.

“This MoU is very important to us as it provides students with active programmes to help them achieve professional success, and support them in establishing their own future business,” he added.

The MoU will support programmes at ADMC and contribute to the curricula development for students in banking sector. It will also help develop best practice to monitor and improve education levels and assess student performance. – TradeArabia News Service
