Al-Futtaim, ENDP celebrate Emiratization partnership
Dubai, January 18, 2010
Al-Futtaim Group recently honoured the employment division of the Emirates Nationals Development Programme (ENDP) for their efforts to support the group’s Emiratization drive.
Fifty job-seeking Nationals were hired by Al-Futtaim in 2009 as a result of its co-operation with ENDP, which operates under the umbrella of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in Dubai, said a senior official.
The KHDA is responsible for the future growth, direction and quality of education and learning in Dubai.
The authority aims to support the people of Dubai in achieving their potential from birth and through life’s journey as we work towards achieving the goals set out in the Dubai Strategic Plan 2015.
'ENDP’s efforts and collaboration with the private sector to promote the issue of Emiratization is indeed commendable,' said Hameed Al Haaj, senior administrative affairs manager at Al-Futtaim Group, after presenting an award to ENDP in its office.
'This will result in more job opportunities for Nationals from across the UAE, as well as increased awareness of the importance of the private sector. We hope this fruitful alliance will continue to promote our national strategy, and improve the quality of life for UAE citizens,' he added.
Essa Al Mulla, executive manager of ENDP and executive director of National Workforce Development, said his team was grateful for the award and the commitment shown by their private sector partners.
“Al-Futtaim has always taken such initiatives; they are one of the staunchest supporters of the Emiratiztion cause,” he said. “Such recognition for ENDP will only boost morale and encourage our team to continue giving their very best.”-TradeArabia News Service
