Jafza launches new online services

Dubai, November 15, 2009

Jafza, the flagship entity of Economic Zones World (EZW), expanded its online transaction services by introducing a number of options on Dubai Trade, the portal that facilitates all electronic services provided by EZW, DP World and Dubai Customs.

Coming as part of Jafza’s enhanced customer care initiatives, these new online options cover several key areas, making it even more convenient for customers to conduct transactions, said a senior official.

Fatma Salem, EZW executive vice president and commercial director, Operations, UAE region said, “Our aim is to offer most of our services online to customers to make it easy for them to conduct business with us. The offerings are fully in line with Jafza’s aspiration to evolve into one of the world’s leading process-driven business hubs.”

These include wide ranging services right from a Bank Guarantee Calculator, which computes the bank guarantee amount online to Customer Contact Update, a service that helps customers directly update their contact details with Jafza.

A series of new letters for customers have also been included in the online platform. These include No Objection Certificate (NOC) letters for various purposes, Tax Exemption Letters, letters required by banks and government departments including the police department, among others, Salem noted.

The new services are a build-up on Jafza’s existing online offerings which includes services ranging from submitting application for visit visa to e-payment through Dubai Trade portal (www.dubaitrade.ae).

These new offerings will help customers conduct almost all important transactions electronically, saving a considerable amount of time, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
