Asry to showcase key expertise at top Greek shipping expo

MANAMA, June 1, 2024

Bahrain-based Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (Asry) will be showcasing its long-standing experience and expertise as well as its products and services at Posidonia 2024, the world's top shipping exhibition, to be held from June 3-7, 2024, in Athens, Greece. 
 
The leading ship and rig repair yard in the Arabian Gulf, Asry said this showcase will boost its commercial presence in one of the world's most prestigious maritime and shipping hubs.
 
Founded in 1977, the region's most experienced maritime repair and fabrication facility, Asry boasts a range of facilities including a 500 K dwt dry-dock, two floating docks of 252m and 227m in length, 15 repair berths with a total length of approximately 5,000m, twin 255m slipways, and a full range of workshops and service centres. 
 
On the upcoming event, Dario Arcella, the Asry's Chief Operating Officer, said: "The Greek market is considered one of the most important maritime markets in Europe, and an efficient way to reconnect with a variety of clients in the sector, to showcase our long-standing experience and expertise, and market our products and services."
 
"With a significant portion of our business and long-term partnerships based in Greece, this market has been an important part of our revenue streams," stated Arcella.
 
Mohammed Sultan, the Business Development Manager, said this exhibition will provide Asry with a valuable platform to start new relationships and reinforce existing ones with its current portfolio of clients in the marine repair and maintenance sector. 
 
"It will also play an effective role in boosting our commercial presence in the global maritime hubs, further consolidating our leading position in the regional and global market," he noted.
 
According to him, Posidonia 2024 is expected to feature a record number of exhibitors, including more than 2,000 companies, as well as tens of thousands of representatives from the exhibiting companies, speakers, and visitors from around the world. 
 
The exhibition will be accompanied by a program of conferences and seminars, making it a global hub for companies operating in the maritime sector in the region, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
