Jabal Omar wins five-star licence for first Makkah Address tower

Saudi-based Jabal Omar Development Company has announced that it has been granted the operating licence for the first tower within its premium project - Jabal Omar Address Hotels - in Makkah with a five-star rating.
The Address project consists of two towers, each containing 44 hotel floors and two helipads and also the project boasts the highest hanging mosque in the world overlooking the Kabaa, stated Jabal Omar in its filing to the Saudi bourse Tadawul.
Jabal Omar said the company was currently working on handing over the second tower to the operator and completing the necessary procedures to obtain permits from the relevant authorities to operate the tower.
The first of these towers includes 742 rooms and suites (out of which 51 rooms have been sold off-plan), in addition to two restaurants, cafe, meetings rooms and a business centre as well as executive lounges, multi-purpose halls, a fitness center, health club and commercial spaces.
The Saudi developer said the opening of hotel was a continuation of the implementation of the strategic transformation plan, which enables it to keep pace with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and enhance the level of quality in the tourism and hospitality sector.
Once operational, the hotel will have a positive financial impact on Jabal Omar's revenues for 2023.-TradeArabia News Service
