Leading fire products specialist GV2 Veda France is showcasing its wide range of products at The Big 5, the largest construction event in the Middle East region, which opened today (November 26) in Dubai.

The event, which runs till November 29 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, is co-located with The Big 5 Heavy, Middle East Concrete (MEC), The Big 5 Solar, HVACR Expo, and the Urban Design & Landscaping Expo.

GV2 Veda France said during the event the company is presenting its Vedafeu range, dedicated to passive fire protection, which has been validated by the UAE Civil Defence experts.

The French group said its expertise has been acknowledged by professionals throughout the sector:- architects, design offices, general contractors and subcontractors.

The company's landmark projects include the extension of the Makkah esplanade in Saudi Arabia, the new Palace of Justice in Paris, the pavilion of the UAE for the 2020 World Expo, The Palm Tower and Zuleyka Hospital in Dubai besides the Saint Regis Hotel in Indonesia.

As designer and manufacturer of fire-stop systems and building joints (expansion joints, control joints, joint covers, stair nosings, etc), the company offers technical, reliable and aesthetic solutions that can be used in all types of buildings (shopping malls, hospitals, schools, industrial buildings, airports, etc), for both standard and seismic joints.

"Rapid fire spread in buildings is something that, even today, continues to be a problem, with consequences that are often disastrous leading in some cases to heavy loss of life," said a company spokesman.
