Pakistan to start construction of its Expo 2020 Pavilion

Pakistan formally announced its participation in Expo 2020, following recently signing a participation contract at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) in Abu Dhabi, UAE, said a report.
The contract was signed by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE Moazzam Ahmad Khan, and Sultan Mohammad Al Shamsi, assistant minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, added the Gulf News report.
The signing has formally kick-started activities for construction of the Pakistan Pavilion at the Expo 2020 site, it said.
To be built on a large plot measuring 3,449.9 sq m in the Opportunity District, the pavilion will be based on the ‘Emerging Pakistan’ theme, with representation from all provinces.
Abdul Razak Dawood, adviser to the Pakistan Prime Minister on Commerce, Textile, Industry and Production and Investment, stated that they look forward to making its participation most meaningful, in line with the expo’s theme of ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’.
