ASGC's fit-out business names new managing director

ASGC Construction said its fit-out subsidiary, ASI has appointed Dimitri Papakonstantinou as the company’s new managing director as part of its regional expansion strategy.
Papakonstantinou joins ASI with close to two decades of experience within the construction, project management and fit-outs sector, including 14 years based in Dubai. Amongst his previous roles, he was a founding member of Plafond Fit Out in 2008, where he served as Managing Director since 2013.
Throughout his career, he has been involved in numerous successful projects and has a proven track record of increasing corporate revenues and profitability while managing teams of more than 1,700 employees.
ASGC Construction CEO Bishoy Azmy said: "Dimitri comes to ASI with the capabilities to drive the company forward in its role as a key component of our vertically integrated portfolio of subsidiaries."
"With his expertise within both the construction and fit-out industries, Dimitri has a thorough understanding of ASI and ASGC’s business, and we look forward to working with him in his new role," he noted.
Speaking on his appointment, Papakonstantinou said: "I am very excited to have joined ASI in the capacity of managing director. As the fit-out specialist of the ASGC group of companies, I look forward to expanding the business initially across the UAE, with ambitions to progress further afield in the years to come."

With both a manufacturing facility as well as complete in-house project personnel, ASI has been a partner of choice for customers across a wide range of vertical industries, said the top official.
