Bahrain housing units' delivery in full swing
MANAMA, August 27, 2018
Bahrain's Housing Ministry has announced that the distribution of the residential units at Salman Town, the largest under-construction town in the kingdom, is progressing as per schedule.
The move follows the order of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to deliver 5,000 housing units of Salman Town to comply with the directives of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to meet citizens’ housing needs, said a statement from the ministry.
The handing over of these residential units to the beneficiaries will continue till the end of this week, it stated.
The Ministry said the Salman Town residential projects is among the main projects implemented within the current action plan in which the government had pledged to construct 25,000 units, in line with the royal directives to build 40,000 housing units.
In another development, the ministry distributed the residential units at the Bloc 609 Housing Project in Sitra to the beneficiaries during Eid Al Adha holidays.
"The ministry was keen to hand over the keys to citizens on the third day of Eid Al Adha to share with them the joy of the occasion," remarked Housing Minister Bassim bin Yaqoob Al Hamar.
The units in the Phase One of the project have already been distributed, said Al Hamar, adding that now the homes in the second and last phase were being handed over.
The smooth handover of the units of various projects proves that the ministry is on the right track towards achieving the royal directives of building and distributing the 40,000 units, the minister added.-TradeArabia News Service
