5,000 housing units allocated for Bahrain citizens
MANAMA, May 23, 2018
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister of Bahrain, has ordered the allocation of 5,000 new homes to citizens during Ramadan, said a report.
This is in line with His Majesty King Hamad’s directive to deliver 40,000 housing units across Bahrain and prioritise development projects that contribute to improved living standards for citizens, reported BNA.
HRH the Crown Prince was speaking after a visit to the majlises of the Bin Hindi, Shaikh Adel Al Maawdah, Ebrahim Al Shaikh, Bin Daina and Alaraifi families.
His latest instruction follows previous orders which led to the successful allocation of over 15,000 homes across different parts of Bahrain, and comes after the recent inauguration of Salman Town, one of the kingdom’s largest housing projects comprising 15,000 housing units, it stated.
He emphasised that the new allocation reflects Bahrain’s long-term vision to deliver a brighter future for citizens through comprehensive infrastructure development and efficient public services, said the BNA report.
HRH the Crown Prince highlighted the importance of urban planning to the development of Bahrain’s infrastructure, noting its central role in maximising resources to ensure infrastructure growth is comprehensive, sustainable and meets economic requirements, it added.
