MANAMA, April 25, 2018

Kuwait-based AlArgan International Real Estate Company has signed up global real estate advisory firm CBRE as the exclusive property manager for its major property in Bahrain - Argan Village.

An award-winning property, Argan Village is located within the larger Jeyoun community development in Bu Quwah, a popular residential district in Bahrain, off Shaikh Isa Bin Salman Highway.

It is a 11,072-sq-m lettable retail development with a 3,146-sq-m landscaped park area located in its centre - home to regular events and entertainment. The overall development also includes a residential component comprising 30 Beyout Al Argan villas and 82 Jeyoun Townhouses.

The retail complex in Argan Village is home to Al Jazira Supermarket and other leading brands including 3 Guys, Kumari, Coffee Republic and Baskin Robbins which are currently operating there, said the statement from CBRE.

Designed to blend modern architecture styles with traditional Bahraini heritage, the majority of the available units provide a ground floor area with mezzanine level and a spacious terrace. Unit sizes start at 65 sq m and extend to 434 sq m in addition to terraces, with signage and lighting opportunities that provide visibility from the main highway.

On the contract win, Richard Botham, the senior director, CBRE Bahrain, said: "Argan Village, which adds to our retail offering, is a well-established development in an important central location."

"The property already has a range of tenants in operation and CBRE looks forward to adding to this growing tenant mix and supporting the owners in maintaining a professionally run complex, that provides services as well as leisure and entertainment options to the local community and visitors," he noted.

Khalil Mohammed Saleh, the general manager of Al Argan Bahrain, said: "We are delighted to announce the appointment of CBRE as our strategic partner in the management of Argan Village. The property has indeed become the heart for social initiatives, gathering communities, supporting causes, and creating opportunities for ambitious entrepreneurs."

"This is in addition to providing great facilities for retailers and customers alike, as well as lifestyle-focused benefits to the community thanks to its attractive landscaped areas that are open to the public. With CBRE on board, we look forward to enhancing and sustaining Argan Village’s position in Bahrain, as well it’s role as a community enabler," noted Saleh.

With this appointment, CBRE said it now manages over 20 properties in Bahrain, including eight commercial office towers, six retail developments, as well as a number of residential buildings, compounds and a large industrial facility.-TradeArabia News Service
