Albilad to unveil key waterfront project at Bahrain expo

MANAMA, April 16, 2018

Albilad Real Estate Investment Company will be showcasing its ambitious mixed used development, Water Garden City (WGC), at the upcoming Gulf Property Show 2018 in Manama.

The boutique showcase for the real estate and property development sectors in the Northern Gulf region is being organised by Hilal Conference and Exhibitions (HCE) from April 24 to 26 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

WGC, a mixed-use waterfront development located in the Seef district of Bahrain, has been designed and tailored to benefit primarily residential and commercial users, said Albilad, the official master community developer of the project.

The company has teamed up with award-winning international architects HOK for the premium project.

The three precincts of Water Garden City offer individual identities for residents and visitors. Each of the precincts is further divided creating a total of nine neighbourhoods, each with its own distinct appeal and key community features, stated the developer.

"The Gulf Property Show is one of the most important platforms that bring together all the master developers of the real estate projects in Bahrain," remarked Zeyad Janahi, the general manager of Albilad Real Estate Investment Company.

"Through our participation this year we will showcase the first phase of WGC which includes two elements commercial and residential, in addition to the investment opportunities available in the project," stated Janahi.

"WGC is a well-planned, sustainable, exciting and vibrant ‘Urban Lifestyle City’, where local residents, tourists and visitors can live, work, play, relax with friends and socialize as a family in a safe and truly modern city space," he explained.

The first phase of the Marina Promenade dining strip which includes family-orientated restaurants and stunning residential duplexes, has been completed and is now open to the  public.

"Prospective restaurant/cafe tenants such as Dose Café, Agaily & Karak, to name a few will be moving in from the second and the third quarter of the year," revealed Janahi.

"The restaurants comprise ground floor and a mezzanine seating area with sea views through large panoramic windows together with outdoor seating terraces. Lease agreements for some of the restaurant units that are still available are being negotiated and interested restaurant owners and operators are invited to submit their proposal at Gulf Property Show," he added.

According to him, all the infrastructure requirements have been completed for the Marina District including roads, electrical power, water supply, sewerage network and Batelco optical fibre high speed cables have been installed.

The Sky Garden villas, which are now ready to move in, offering unique Marina frontage with panoramic sea views of the Arabian Gulf and Manama skyline, said the developer .

The Sky Garden villas are a walking distance to the attractively landscaped 'Beach Park' with a sandy expanse providing excellent recreational space for residents.

Buyers at Gulf Property Show will have the opportunity to purchase a villa with immediate occupancy, stated Janahi.

"Water Garden City is looking forward to the Marriott Residence Inn, the world’s extended stay serviced apartments leader, beginning its construction later this year," he added.

Jubran Abdulrahman, the managing director of HCE, said: "Water Garden City is part of Bahrain’s growing real estate portfolio of innovative developments. The commercial part of the city provides opportunities to enhance the economic development of Bahrain in keeping with the Kingdom’s 2030 vision."

"Al Bilad’s continued support of Gulf Property Show is testimony to the value and high esteem that the real estate event is held by the kingdom’s leading developers," he added.

The Gulf Property Show is being held under the patronage of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, alongside two other major exhibitions – Interiors Expo and Gulf Construction Expo, continuing the success of the only integrated B2B and B2C platforms for the construction, interior and property sectors in the Northern Gulf.-TradeArabia News Service
