Eagle Hills Sharjah launches sales of key residential property

SHARJAH, April 8, 2018

Eagle Hills Sharjah, a joint venture between Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) and Eagle Hills, an Abu Dhabi-based private real estate investment and development company, has launched sales of Azure Beach Residence, the first residential property at its flagship project Maryam Island in Sharjah.

A premier mixed-use development, Azure Beach Residence will be home to luxurious residential, hospitality and retail properties in the centre of Sharjah.

The development features 164 units ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments, all of which are complemented by 20 retail and F&B (food and beverages) units, a shared community pool and gym, and a pool and playground for children.

Residents will also benefit from a strategic location that is just a few minutes’ walk away from the beach, said the developer in a statement.

Maryam Island is one of the foremost waterfront development destinations in Sharjah, offering world-class urban planning design and unparalleled views of the Arabian Gulf and the city’s downtown skyline.
The centrally located 458,000-sq-m plot is within easy reach of the city’s residential and commercial hubs, and is home to luxury apartments as well as five- and four-star hotels that offer a total of approximately 600 keys, it stated.

Shurooq CEO Marwan bin Jassim Al Sarkal said: "We are proud to be launching the sales of the  residential property at Maryam Island, a project that began with our concept of creating a downtown that respects the fundamentals of designing a future modern Arab city."

"Maryam Island benefits from a prime location as it is situated between two lagoons and on the Arabian Gulf, just minutes away from Sharjah Downtown and very close to Dubai Airport and the Sharjah ring road. The project is unique because anyone residing on the island will find themselves close to everything they need. It will give expats access to a 100-year lease while allowing Arabs to own their homes," he added.

Al Sarkal pointed out that no other developments in Sharjah could compete with Maryam Island, and said "knowing that the project has been developed by Eagle Hills will give end users a full quality assurance."

Eagle Hills CEO Low Ping said: "Maryam Island has been designed to provide residents with a communal and integrated lifestyle that brings together exquisitely crafted homes, state-of-the-art facilities, premium community services and a wide range of shopping, retail, leisure and entertainment experiences."

"The mixed-use development is a new destination for luxury and heritage lifestyles, integrating Sharjah’s downtown history with modern waterfront living, and reflects our commitment to driving sustainable growth in Sharjah by positioning it as a premium lifestyle destination," he stated.

Residents at Maryam Island, he said, will benefit from exceptional privacy and serenity, in addition to the wealth of upscale amenities at the development’s two hotels. They will also enjoy access to the development’s relaxing waterfront promenade, as well as a Souq that reflects Sharjah’s rich heritage, he added.

Prioritising the convenience of residents, the development provides easy access to the whole of Sharjah as well as the neighbouring emirates Dubai, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain via the Al Taawun and Al Ittihad Roads.

It is also located less than 10km from Dubai International Airport and 20km from Sharjah International Airport, providing residents with exceptional accessibility and commuting capability.

Maryam Island is one of three major developments, alongside Kalba Waterfront and Palace Al Khan, which represent Eagle Hills’ first foray into Sharjah, said the statement from Eagle Hills Sharjah.

The projects are being developed in partnership with Shurooq and will set a new benchmark for integrated residential, hospitality, retail and lifestyle communities in Sharjah.-TradeArabia News Service
