Industry experts from Twintec Middle East presented a variety of cutting-edge solutions for modern-day fibrous concrete construction at an event hosted by the Bahrain British Business Forum (BBBF). 

 

The event for BBBF’s Special Interest Group (SIG) for projects and construction was organised by Al Hamdan Consulting Office (HCO), at the Capital Club in Manama. 

 

Tom Menary, technical and commercial director at Twintec Middle East, showcased the company’s concrete floor slab design and construction. The innovative solution demonstrates slab design without saw cut joints as well as provides the benefit of a longer life cycle which enables business efficiency for industrial application. 

 

Simon Baines, general manager of HCO, commented: “With Bahrain embarking on a number of new and innovative projects throughout the kingdom, it’s important that industry peers are able to get together and discuss new technologies and developments in design, engineering and construction. This event gave us a great platform to share what we believe are some of the best practices in the industry based on a wealth of accumulated experience.” 

 

The event was well attended by BBBF members and their guests who had the opportunity to learn about some of the applications and technologies of fibrous concrete.
