YBA Kanoo opens hitech workshop in Saudi Arabia

MANAMA, December 11, 2017

YBA Kanoo, one of the largest family-owned multinational businesses in the Middle East,
has announced the official opening of its new workshop for industrial valves in the Jubail region of Saudi Arabia.

The new facility will provide key services such as assembling, maintenance and repair of valves besides retrofit and upgrade of various industrial valves; replacing and reconditioning of mechanical seals and rupture discs; and also steam trap inspection/survey and replacement.

The opening ceremony was held in the presence of Saudi Kayan contractor and services manager Mulfi Salem Al Qahtani, YBA Kanoo Group CEO Dr Patrick Chenel, Industrial & Energy executive general manager Fergus Burke and other high ranking officials.

“The opening of this facility is a major milestone in our transformation plan,” stated Chenel.
“It also reaffirms our commitment to the country through the Saudi Aramco value added programme, IKTVA, and helps develop a world of opportunity for young Saudis.

“Its strategic location and proximity to our customers allows us to reduce lead time, giving us a higher advantage over our competitors.

“Within our immediate surroundings we have also begun to work with potential customers who would benefit both from the products produced and service capacity of the workshop,” he added.

The YBA Kanoo workshop is also an authorised service centre for Colfax pumps, BRDR Christensen plug valves, Faris safety relief valves and Groth pressure and vacuum relief valves.

"This is part of Kanoo Industrial & Energy strategy to expand its range of solutions to clients within the Operations & Maintenance phase of projects," remarked Burke.

"The new workshop will deliver a quality service to its clients with a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of its personnel," he noted.

"Kanoo Industrial & Energy will be manufacturing valves in the near future, and the next step will be to expand our workshop to repair and overhaul pumps and motors to support with the maintenance of our clients’ facilities in Jubail," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
