NPCC partners with Egyptian contractor Petrojet
ABU DHABI, November 22, 2017
UAE-based National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) has reached an agreement with top Egyptian contractor Petrojet for co-operation in identification and execution of new projects in the country and wider region.
A part of the Senaat Abu Dhabi group, NPCC has been delivering offshore and onshore energy EPC projects for both national and international oil companies in the region since 1973.
It has over 1,200 engineers in four engineering centres across Europe and Asia, a fleet of 22 offshore construction vessels and the largest yard of 1.3 million sq m in the Mena region.
The partnership deal is mainly for boosting co-operation in identification and execution of new projects in Egypt and wider region, remarked Aqeel Madhi, the managing director and chief executive of NPCC after singing the pact with Salah Ismail, the chairman and managing director of Petrojet, in the presence of senior members of the management team, at Adipec office in Abu Dhabi.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) will come into effect immediately and both parties plan to enhance cooperation to win and execute new projects, he stated.
Madhi said this partnership, with an established organisation in Egypt, is a golden opportunity for NPCC to win and execute projects in Egypt and near-by markets.
"It will help us grow in new markets, Egypt in specific and other markets in general. This strategic partnership and cooperation will also support our strategy of growing in new markets," he added.
Ismail pointed out that the duo will scout for prime opportunities to partner and execute projects together.
"Petrojet has been operating in the oil sector since 1975, and is looking for opportunities in the UAE and Gulf markets. Strategic partnership with company like NPCC will help us with projects and this tieup will lead to new opportunities," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
