Arada, the UAE’s newest developer, said it has sold all the 115 apartment units within Areej 5 block in the first phase of Aljada, the largest mixed-use project in Sharjah, thus breaking the record for the sale of number of homes the emirate on a single day.

Aljada is ideally situated on the last major plot of undeveloped land in the heart of Sharjah, with exceptional connectivity to surrounding areas, and is an all-encompassing district that comprises considerable retail, leisure and entertainment options, in addition to a wide range of residential and commercial offerings.

The milestone came after Arada released Areej 5 to the market on Thursday. At the record-breaking event, all 115 units, which included studios and one-bedroom apartments, got sold out on the same day, beating the 102 units sold on Aljada’s launch day.

On the achievement, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, the chairman of Arada, said: "I am delighted to see that sales for Aljada are progressing stronger than ever, showing that demand for homes in this wonderful project remains undiminished."

"It’s clear that investors agree with our vision to provide a lifestyle that is second to none in Sharjah, at a price point that is realistic for all. We look forward to breaking ground on Aljada at the beginning of next year, and repaying the faith that investors have placed in us," he noted.

The record-breaking sales event follows recent updates at Aljada, including the signing of a partnership with Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (Sewa) to power the 24 million-sq-ft masterplanned destination, and an agreement with Red Bull to host an exciting new motorsports event at the site on December 15.

To be delivered in phases starting in 2019, construction on Aljada will begin in the first quarter of 2018 and the entire project is expected to be completed by 2025.

The Aljada masterplan is carefully designed with walkability and wide green spaces in mind, allowing residents, workers and visitors the ability to live, work, play and be entertained within an all-inclusive and self-sustained precinct.  

A masterplanned destination with a sales value of Dh24 billion, Aljada is set to transform the future of Sharjah. Since its launch in September, over 600 units in Aljada’s Phase One have been snapped up by buyers, thanks to its debut appearance at the Cityscape Global real estate showpiece.

In October, Arada launched the Anber Community, a collection of 84 exceptionally designed villas and townhouses ideally located near the heart of the development.

The Anber Community features a selection of stylish and spacious villas and townhouses, all with extensive gardens and direct access to a lush and landscaped private park, said the developer.

Buyers can choose from a wide variety of two-, three- and four-bedroom residences, positioned close to Aljada’s leisure and entertainment destination, the Central Hub, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
