Bahrain sewerage project 46pc completed

Work on the sewerage network in the A’Ali area of Bahrain is progressing as per schedule with 46 per cent of the project already completed, according to the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning.

Sanitary engineering planning and projects director at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Nazha Abu Hindi said the BD153,371 (406,637) project is being implemented by Tylos Excavations Company.

The scope of work includes extending 645-m-long main connections, 535-m-long sub-connections besides constructing 71 inspection chambers and connecting 60 houses to the network in Block 748, said the ministry in a statement.

So far, 600-m-long main and sub-connections have been extended, and 19 inspection chambers have been constructed, in addition to connecting two houses to the network, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
