Aldar's key projects on track for handover in September
ABU DHABI, April 12, 2017
Aldar Properties, a leading property developer in Abu Dhabi, UAE, has said that it is maintaining steady progress across its seven main projects under development, as Yas Island’s Ansam and Al Raha Beach’s Al Hadeel enter into the final stages of development ahead of handover in September.
Ansam, which is located on the west side of Yas Island, is nearing completion with facade glazing and internal fit-out, ahead of handover this year, said a statement from Aldar.
The Abu Dhabi developer has awarded the main contractor package worth Dh500 million ($136 million) for Mayan, a luxury golf and waterfront development on the island, including the construction of five 11-storey buildings comprising 512 units.
West Yas, Aldar’s first villa community on Yas Island, and Yas Acres, the flagship golf and waterfront villa and townhouse development, continue to make steady headway.
At West Yas, the show-villas will be open to the public once landscaping around the villas is complete, it stated.
Aldar is currently evaluating tender submissions for Yas Acres’ main contractor, which will be awarded in the second quarter. In total, Aldar currently has over 3,500 units under development on Yas Island.
Construction also continues on Reem Island, as Meera, Aldar’s first mid-market development, makes steady headway with basement blockwork and casting for the second floor slabs now complete.
Testing for the closed canal is now largely complete along with landscaping work as it prepares for flooding later this month, said the statement.
Another addition to Al Raha Beach, the sold-out Al Hadeel development, is in the final stages ahead of its scheduled handover this year, with plaster boarding almost complete and internal fit-out ongoing, it stated.
Elsewhere, road construction is expected to commence imminently for Nareel Island and the sold-out Al Merief in Khalifa City, said the Abu Dhabi developer.
In Al Ain, Al Jimi Mall continues to maintain strong footfall as refurbishment works at the main entrance, west corridor and restroom facilities continue.
The columns, retaining wall and footings are steadily progressing for expansion to the west side of the mall, the 'West Wing', which will add 51 new units over three levels, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
