Empower sees customer numbers surge to over 65,000

UAE-based Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation has registered a solid growth in its customer base which soared to 65,000 by end of 2016.
A major district cooling services provider, Empower said the main reason behind this increase was the customers’ growing trust in the district cooling service, in terms of its efficiency compared to conventional cooling services.
This highly contributes in letting buildings’ owners, developers, and end users to shift to Empower’s district cooling service. In addition, all of Empower’s projects are eco-friendly and help reducing energy consumption while using more efficient sources of energy, it stated.
CEO Ahmad Bin Shafar said as a result of the global boom in buildings and infrastructure, there is an increasing need for cooling services during these years.
"Customers are looking for better quality, more efficient and, equally important, affordable cooling services. In addition, recently the environmental element has become one of the main factors that determine customers’ preferences. As such, Empower’s district cooling services is getting more popular and widely used as it addresses our customers’ requirements," he stated.
Bin Shafar pointed out that since its inception, the company has been aware of its responsibility.
"We are providing a service that represents the future of the cooling sector. We had to provide this service with absolute effectiveness and efficiency to prove to everybody that district cooling service is the ideal choice. We had tremendous success as we embarked on to become the world’s largest district cooling services provider," he noted.
It currently operates more than 1.25 million RT, providing environmentally responsible district cooling services to large-scale real estate developments such as Jumeirah Group, Business Bay, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai International Financial Centre, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Ibn Battuta Mall, Discovery Gardens, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai World trade Centre Residences and Dubai Design District.
