Deadline extended for Gulf Real Estate Awards

DUBAI, January 17, 2017

Dubai Land Department has extended the application deadline for The Gulf Real Estate Awards until the February 15, allowing hopeful candidates a longer period in which to submit their applications.

Mahmoud El Burai, executive director of Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI), said: “In light of the high level of applicant interest from a wide number of companies in the GCC real estate sector, we have decided to extend the application deadline and provide an opportunity for more companies to participate in The Gulf Real Estate Awards. We are delighted with the response; even in its inaugural year, we expect the programme to generate strong competition across all of the award categories.”

El Burai added, “The awards are designed to raise the bar for innovation in the real estate sector, and provide a platform for GCC companies to highlight their innovative solutions to addressing real estate matters. It promises to have a real impact on the market by promoting best practices.”

Dubai Real Estate Institute, the educational arm of Dubai Land Department, signed an agreement with Awards International at the recent Cityscape Global 2016 exhibition, which paved the way for The Gulf Real Estate Awards.

Dubai Land Department will manage the organisation of the awards programme, which is the first of its kind in the region to recognise and reward excellence in the real estate sector. The department has identified a timeline for the first edition of the awards programme, which draws to a close with the announcement of award-winners at a ceremony on April 19.

All businesses that operate in the Gulf real estate sector, whether public or private, may participate in the awards programme, which includes 21 categories that focus on achievement and range from dynamic entrepreneurs or start-ups, to thriving SMEs (small and medium enterprises) or large firms. Award-winners will benefit from wide exposure and an opportunity to broadcast their achievements in front of the region’s real estate sector.

The Gulf Real Estate Awards committee and judges will employ best practice in the evaluation and selection process, following a strict timeline. Hopeful candidates must specify the category/categories for which they are submitting their application, and complete the required fields on the website before paying a subscription fee and receiving an electronic subscription form. – TradeArabia News Service
