Bahrain is likely to bring in new regulations which will make it mandatory for home and building owners to get a building durability permit before beginning work on expansions of 60 sq m and above, said a report.

The Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry has referred the new decision to Bahrain’s three municipal councils and the Capital Trustees Board, according to the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.
