MANAMA, October 8, 2016

Bahrain's government will soon start work on the East Sitra Housing Project which will see the construction of 5,000 residential units across the kingdom, said a report.

The announcement comes following a directive from His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to start the work before the end of this year, reported the BNA.

The project, to be funded through international partnership in co-operation and co-ordination with the Eskan Bank, will implement the royal directives, and achieve the goals set in the Government Action Plan, stated the report.

HRH Premier tasked the Housing Ministry to cooperate with the Ministry of Finance and the other relevant parties to take the necessary procedures in this regard.

The Premier affirmed that the government will intensify its housing projects and chart new programmes that will bring about a positive change in the planning, construction and management of Bahraini cities, it added.
