Limitless awards Dubai residential towers' contract

DUBAI, June 12, 2016

Leading developer Limitless has awarded a Dh227.5-million ($62 million) contract to UAE-based Eastern International for the construction of two key residential towers at The Galleries in Downtown Jebel Ali, its 2-million-sq-m master development in Dubai.

The two buildings will contain a total of 641 units, including studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, available for lease.

With a combined built-up area of 936,000 sq ft, the two towers as well as ground-floor retail space span 68,000 sq ft.

They are located opposite the four fully operational office towers that make up The Galleries’ thriving business community, with a 200,000-sq-ft landscaped, shaded plaza separating the office and residential complexes.

As per the deal, Eastern International will immediately start work on the project which is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2017.

Ali Rashid Lootah, the chairman of Limitless, said: "The Galleries is already a firmly-established, vibrant commercial hub and home to some of the world’s biggest names in business. With the completion of these two towers, we can look forward to The Galleries growing into a full mixed-use, strategically-located community that combines top-flight office accommodation with high-standards of living and leisure."

Accordingh to him, Limitless is seeing increased demand for residential units at The Galleries.

Its location, setting, transport links and increasing number of retail outlets make it the perfect base for people who need easy access to both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, he noted.

The Galleries is an hour by car from Abu Dhabi and is directly accessed from Sheikh Zayed Road. It is also directly linked to Jebel Ali Metro Station by a covered walkway.

Set in shaded, landscaped grounds the size of three international football pitches, The Galleries features several international banks, a convenience store, nursery and a growing number of cafes and restaurants, with retail outlets on the way.

The apartments are also ideally located for people working at The Galleries, Jafza, Jebel Ali Port, Al Maktoum International Airport and other nearby areas, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
